Responsibilities:

The successful Security Director will be responsible for directing, coordinating and overseeing all activities of the onsite Security staff, including all supervisory, training and operations functions at the assigned post in accordance with post orders and client instructions, and following all internal procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college education or business classes desirable.

Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional-level experience required.  Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and/or military highly required.  Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry a plus.

This is a working Director position that requires prior security Management experience in a hi-rise setting.  Must have Fire, Life Safety Knowledge and be versed in access controls.  

Must be able to clearly, and effectively, communicate both verbally and in writing with the tenants, vendors, visitors and the Management team.

Must be very detail oriented and be able to work in a face paced environment.

Candidate must have previous security supervisory/management experience - law enforcement and or military experience a huge plus.

The qualified candidate must be computer literate.

Must have, or be able to obtain a valid AZ guard card.

 You will be an important member of the team that maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees; manages staff; secures facilities, operations, and personnel; designs patrol routes; conducts inspections and investigations; maintains security fleet, rapport with local law enforcement, civil defense, and first-aid agencies, and supplies inventory; prepares reports.

Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.  Demonstrated ability to be very customer service oriented, with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner, and to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant.

Essential Physical and Mental Functions

• Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Security Engineer will participate in the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of security controls surrounding the processes supporting the business.

In addition to being accountable to direct line Management, the Security Engineer will be accountable to and take direction from the IT Technology and Infrastructure Vice President. The Security Engineer will directly interface with ITs internal customers at the Manager and Director levels.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in defining security frameworks for existing and new systems.
- Assists in system security planning, developing, and implementing security policies across multiple platforms.
- Applies current computer science technologies to the design, development, evaluation, and integration of computer systems and networks to maintain system security.
- Ensures successful implementation and maintenance of the defined standards.
- Detects vulnerabilities in the areas of Databases, Applications, Operating System, TCP/IP Protocols, and network devices.
- Manages and supports networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure.
- Provides technical support and consultation for enhancement of and changes to security configurations.
- Provides fault resolution and escalation.
- Maintains documentation.
- Assists in defining processes to manage the organizational security posture.
- Maintains knowledge of current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
- Monitors security metrics and reports issues to management.
- Conducts penetration tests and vulnerability assessment as necessary.
- Provides security engineering and integration services to internal customers.
- Responsible for providing timely, relevant security and analytical information.
- Communicates complex technical information to team members and many levels of management.


QUALIFICATIONS
Academic:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent professional experience required.
- CISSP preferred

Experience:
- 5+ years of information security experience.
- 1+ years of technical project management experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare environments helpful

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong technical background in data loss prevention, lab environments, intrusion detection/prevention, network gateways, multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), VPNs, application layer firewalls, firewalls, content filtering, and encryption techniques/tools.
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance tools and/or business continuity software tools preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of, and working experience with, desktop security technologies, personal firewall, intrusion detection, and prevention, host integrity, etc.
- Ability to install complex network and security systems hardware, software, and management systems.
- Understanding of Risk Assessment processes and procedures, including third party and site assessments. Understanding of CobiT and ISO27001/2.
- Ability to plan and manage own work and take direction from others in analyzing and solving network and security infrastructure issues and problems.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of anti-virus and anti-spam technologies.
- Ability to create, manage and enhance customer relationships.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
