SUMMARY:

Manages the daily functions of the department to ensure protection of property assets, employees, guests and property. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures. Trains staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures. Position focuses on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget. Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.

OR

2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 1 year experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Security/Loss Prevention Operations

Assists the Director of Engineering in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness.

Completes all record keeping requirements in accordance with property and division standards to include the OSHA 200 log, OSHA 101, first report of injury, employee accident analysis, security analysis, key control and daily log documentation.

Conducts hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and the hazard abatement process.

Description

The Team Leader will provide necessary supervision and support of activities of security staff and contract personnel in emergency situations.

Responsibilities:


Conduct on-going physical security audits and make appropriate recommendations.
Coordinate with contract security account manager to ensure the consistency and uniform application of policies, procedures and emergency response by contract personnel.
Provide assistance to Security Services Manager for development and implementation of Security related controls and processes.
Actively support Crisis Response Team and associated activities/training.
Provide support in all compliance-related activities, as needed.
Actively engage in on-going budget/cost savings efforts.
Work with various internal business partners on both routine and sensitive issues. Interface with business groups in supporting planned/unplanned employee moves, construction projects and special events.

Qualifications

Qualified individuals must possess:


Minimum 3-5 years experience in a physical security operational environment.
Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
Self-starter with good time management skills. Must be able to multi-task numerous projects simultaneously.
Effective written/verbal communication skills.
Strong inter-personal skills. Strong organizational, leadership and analytical skills.
PC proficient.
Previous experience with a comprehensive integrated security system desired.
College degree in Security Management/Criminal Justice or equivalent experience.
Ability to be on call 24/7 as needed.
